Condition – excellent overall painting, minor scattered loss (mid left side/stable paint), lined,
gold frame with some losses and wood crack on inside liner. 2145
- Avalanche Falls, Flume Gorge, Franconia Notch State Park, Canon Mountain, White Mountains, New Hampshire. Discovered in 1808. Avalanche Falls is a 45’ high water fall at the top of a 15’ wide gorge with 90’ high sheer granite walls.
Visitor Center is located at 832 Daniel Webster Highway, Lincoln, NH.
- Harrison Bird Brown, (1831-1915). Known for his paintings of marine life and the White Mountains, New Hampshire. His work was exhibited at National Academy of Design from 1858 to 1875 and other exhibits.
